Troopr is an AI-native coordination tool for engineering teams that works inside Slack. It reads your team's activity in Jira, GitHub, and Slack, forms its own view of what is happening, and drafts the coordination work for a person to approve.

How Troopr works

Troopr reads activity across Jira, GitHub, and Slack. From that activity it builds a view of what each person is working on, what changed, and what needs attention. It then drafts updates, reports, and messages, and routes each one to a person to confirm. Nothing posts to a channel or changes in Jira until someone approves it.

Troopr drafts, you decide. Anything Troopr writes on your behalf routes to a person for review, and nothing posts or changes until it is confirmed.

What Troopr does

Troopr has three product areas that you work with in Slack.

[Troopr Check-ins](https://docs.troopr.ai/troopr-check-ins) runs the Automated Standup, retrospectives, planning poker, and team mood. The Automated Standup writes each person's update from their Jira, GitHub, and Slack activity and posts it to the team channel.
[Troopr Reports](https://docs.troopr.ai/report) generates Jira reports in plain language and can schedule them to a channel on a cadence. Flow templates and sprint templates are both available.
[Troopr Projects](https://docs.troopr.ai/project) handles the connective work between Jira and Slack: turning Slack messages into Jira issues, syncing Jira issues into Slack, scheduled Jira notifications, and unfurling Jira mentions.

Teams

Troopr organizes around the Team. A Team owns a default Slack channel, one or more Jira projects, one or more GitHub repos, and a member roster. A workspace holds many teams. See (https://docs.troopr.ai/team-in-troopr) for details.

Where Troopr runs

Troopr runs in Slack and in the web app. Slack is where you receive standups, reports, and notifications, and where you make requests in natual language. The web app is where you configure Troopr, review history, and go deeper. The web app is scoped to the team you are currently in.
