User commands

With user commands, Troopr lets people in your Slack workspace extend the capabilities of Troopr’s slash command (/t) with their own custom command actions.

Administrators can create and customize user commands that can be invoked from anywhere in Slack.

Setup a new command

To get started,

Go to Troopr Webapp-> Home-> Commands and click on “+ New Command”.

Choose any command keyword and state its purpose for clarity.

Specify the command type as “Issue create” and choose where the issue should be created in “Creation Defaults”. Administrators can also optionally set custom field values for each command.

Run your new command

Head over to the Slack workspace and enter the custom command along with the issue summary to be created.

Troopr will automatically create a new issue in Jira.

Additionally you can also provide additional field values in the command in the following format:

/t [user-create-command] [summary] +[fieldName]:[fieldValue]
