Slack App Home

Troopr Apphome is your go to place in Slack to quickly access all of Troopr’s functionalities. It enables you to create issues, channel sync, reports, find issues and so much more.

You can also customize Slack app home. The admin can set up a global apphome for everyone in the workspace, but users can also customize the apphome to their own preferences.

Getting Started:

First, make sure that you have installed the Troopr Slack app to your workspace. Then, navigate to the app home tab on Slack. 

(If you can’t find Troopr under the App’s section on your Slack workspace, click on the Add App in the Slack sidebar and search for Troopr Assistant. Select Troopr so that it will start showing up under the Apps in Slack. We recommend that you star the Troopr Assistant app for easier accessibility later. )

If your admin has set up a global apphome, you will see the default layout. This layout will have the list of pages that are relevant for your team. You can switch the pages using the dropdown given under ‘Choose what you want to see’. The next following sections will be based on the page that is selected. 

Customizing Global Apphome:

The admin can customize the global apphome for everyone in the workspace. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Troopr account on the Troopr webapp.
  2. Click on the 'Settings' tab on the left side panel.
  3. Click on 'Slack App' from the second level sidebar.
  4. Under ‘Slack App’ switch to ‘Apphome’ tab.
  5. You can customize the following:
    1. Pages: Add or remove pages that are displayed in app home.
    2. Buttons: Add or remove buttons that are displayed in your personal app home. (for requests and issues page)
    3. Data: Add or remove list of issues/ tickets/approvals/check-ins that are displayed in the app home. (for requests, issues, approvals and check-in pages)
    4. Reports: Add or remove personal reports that are displayed in app home. (only for reports page) 
    5. Issue Card: Customize the issue card that is displayed in the app home. (for requests and issues page)
  6. To reset back to the default layout, click on the ‘Reset’ button. 

Customizing Personal Apphome:

If you want to customize your own apphome, you can do so using the 'My personal apphome' tab under settings. Here are the steps:

  1. Log in to your Troopr account on the Troopr webapp.
  2. Click on the 'Settings' tab on the left side panel.
  3. Click on 'My Personal AppHome' from the second level sidebar.
  4. Select ‘Personalize apphome’ option. 
  5. You can customize the following: pages, buttons, data/ reports, issue card. 
    1. Pages: Add or remove pages that are displayed in app home.
    2. Buttons: Add or remove buttons that are displayed in your personal app home. (for requests and issues page)
    3. Data: Add or remove list of issues/ tickets/approvals/check-ins that are displayed in the app home. (for requests, issues, approvals and check-in pages)
    4. Reports: Add or remove personal reports that are displayed in app home. (only for reports page)

  6. To reset back to the default layout your admin has created, click on ‘Use workspace default’ option.
