Troopr's Automated Standup allows you to streamline your team's daily updates by combining asynchronous check-ins with live meeting support. This guide covers every configuration option available in the standup setup interface.

Team Admins are can only configure the checkin for each teams. It is view only for all other members.

Schedule

Define when your standup should occur to ensure consistency across your team.

• Days: Select the specific days of the week the standup should run (e.g., Monday through Friday).

• Ask teammates at: Set the specific time the automated bot should reach out to participants for their updates.

• Timezone: Choose the primary timezone for the schedule to ensure the bot triggers at the correct local time.

How Troopr writes it

You can choose how Troopr gathers information for the standup report. You can mix automated data retrieval with manual input:

• Read from Jira/GitHub/Slack: Enable these options to allow Troopr to automatically pull recent activity, tickets, and messages to pre-fill or supplement the standup report.

• Ask a person directly: When enabled, Troopr will send a direct message to participants asking them to provide their manual updates.

Participants

Manage who is involved in the standup using the search and toggle interface. You can search for specific team members and toggle their participation status to 'On' or 'Off'. This ensures only relevant team members are prompted for updates.

Delivery

Configure where and how the final standup report is shared with the team.

• Post report to: Select the specific Slack channel where the compiled standup summary will be published.

• Send report time: Define the exact time the final report should be delivered to the designated channel.

• After the meeting: You can enable automated actions such as Update report + recap, which generates an AI-powered summary of the standup highlights.

Live meeting

If your team follows up the automated check-in with a synchronous call, you can manage those details here:

• Google Meet link: Paste the URL for your team's recurring meeting.

• Live meeting starts at: Set the time for the synchronous portion of your standup.

• Bot name and logo: Customize how the Troopr bot appears in your meeting by setting a custom name and uploading a logo.

• Join now: Use the "Send Troopr to the meet" button to manually trigger the bot to join your live meeting.

Troopr listens to the call without speaking, interrupting, or running the meeting. After the call, it posts a report to Slack that is grounded in your team's real Jira and GitHub state and prior standups to reflect what actually changed.
