Personal notifications

Users can configure their personal notifications of a Jira HelpDesk channel in Slack.

Get started by typing this command in the "Troopr Assistant" app (bot channel).

Get started by typing this command in the "Troopr Assistant" app (bot channel).

/t configure

Click on "Personal Notifications'' , select ‘Customize’ under ‘Notifications from Jira Service Desk’. You will be redirected to the webapp where you can customize personal notifications.

You can choose when to receive notifications using the pre-built filters or by using a JQL filter. Click on ‘Always send updates where I am mentioned’ and select the relevant fields for pre-built filters. 

You can also do future notification customization (optional) by selecting the specific events and fields you want to receive notifications for by selecting the relevant fields under ‘Send notifications only for these updates’ , ‘and there is an update to these fields’. Delivery frequency setting will batch notifications in the set interval. Choose to customize the delivery frequency based on your personal preferences. 

Every Troopr personal notification message has a link "Notification Preferences" in the footer.

Click on the link, you will be redirected to the "Personal Preferences" page in Troopr web app, where you can configure the same settings under the "Personal Notifications" section.

Default for Team members

Administrators can set up default personal notifications for team members. Read more here
