Customize issue message

You can customize how issue details will show up in a Troopr issue card message in a channel.

Where can you customize?

Troopr issue card can be customized in channel preferences. In the Troopr web app (https://app.troopr.io) navigate to Troopr HelpDesk => Channel Preferences and then the channel where you want to customize the issue card.

What can you customize?

You can customize the following aspects about the issue card message

  1. Issue card title
  2. Issue card details
  3. Issue card buttons

Customize Issue card title

The title of the issue card usually shows issue key, status and summary. The title type can be changed from status to another field. You can also truncate the summary to consist of only 80 characters by switching on the toggle button given below.

Customize issue card details

The details of the issue card usually show the project, issue type, assignee and priority. This can be customized to show other attributes.

Customize issue card buttons

Issue card usually shows buttons to "View", "Change Status" and "Comment". There is also a dropdown after these button showing rest of the actions. These buttons can be customized to have other buttons.

Customize thread sync

If thread sync is enabled, it usually contains a footer message mentioning that the Slack thread is syncing with Jira, a link to customize the thread sync behaviour and at mentioning the reporter. This can be turned on or off using the checkboxes given under the Thread sync tab.
