Creating requests

Auto request creation

The easiest way to create requests in Slack is to use the auto request creation feature. Using Troopr, your team can easily create a new ticket. There are 4 options you can choose from:

  1.  For every message posted
  2. On any 'Emoji action' for request creation
  3. Auto create request when unattended
  4. Send reminder to create issue

To enable this feature:

Step 1: Login to Troopr webapp [ https://app.troopr.io/ ] using Slack SSO

Step 2: Go to HelpDesk(Jira) from the left panel

Step 3: Under Channel preferences select the desired channel or create a new support channel (+new support channel).

Step 4: Click on ‘Configure’

Step 5: Scroll down to 'Auto create'

Step 6: Enable it and choose any one option

For every message posted

When this feature is enabled, Troopr would automatically create an issue for every message that is posted in the channel.

On any 'Emoji action' for request creation

When this feature is enabled, users can simply drop the ticket emoji or other issue creation emojis that the administrator has created to create an issue. Read more on emoji actions here.

Send reminder to create request

Administrators can send reminders to users to create issues using this feature. When this feature is enabled, for every message that is sent in the channel, Troopr would remind the user to create an issue by adding a button to that Slack message.

Auto issue creation when unattended

Administrators can automatically create issues when the Slack message is unattended for 5 minutes using this feature. When this feature is enabled, whenever a Slack message is unattended for 5 minutes, Troopr automatically creates a Jira issue based on the channel defaults.
