Multi Message Action
Convert multiple Slack messages in a conversation to one Jira issue by using the multi-message action feature.
This feature requires marking the first and last messages in a sequence of messages and converting them into a Jira issue. So if you want to convert 10 messages in a conversation, mark the first message using a 🎫 emoji, then take the "Task It" action (or use the 🎫 emoji again) on the 10th message.
Identify the first message in the conversation sequence and add the 🎫 emoji to it. Choose the "Mark Message" action in the following prompt that shows as a private message in that channel or thread.
Identify the last message in the sequence and click on “More actions” and select "Task It". If "Task It" is not available, look for it in "More message shortcuts".
Clicking on "Task It" will allow you to directly convert the messages into a Jira issue. In this case, Troopr will look for all messages sent prior to the current one until it finds the one with the marker (: ticket:) emoji.
Troopr will look up to 10 messages in history for marker emoji
Marker emoji can be used only once per message.
Identify the last message in the sequence and add the 🎫 emoji to it. Choose the "New Issue" action in the following prompt that shows as a private message in that channel or thread. In this case, Troopr will look for all messages sent prior to the current one until it finds the one with the marker (: ticket:) emoji.
Troopr will look up to 10 messages in history for marker emoji.
The last message text is captured as an issue summary and the rest of the messages are captured as conversation context in the issue description.
